Freshman catcher Anna McNeer hit a pair of home runs and drove in six runs to help the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ softball team split a pair of games Monday, Feb. 25, in Ellisville.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Lady Warriors scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and five more in the sixth to run-rule the East Mississippi Lady Lions 12-4 in the nightcap, bouncing back from a 17-7 loss earlier in the day to the No. 1 ranked and defending national champion Jones College Lady Bobcats.

February 25, 2019

After having rain force the cancellation of its own Rush Invitational Baseball Tournament, the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Warriors traveled to south Alabama to pick up a pair of Saturday games, losing a 6-0 decision to Wallace Community College-Dothan and holding on for an 8-7 win over Lurleen B. Wallace Community College.

The two games were played Saturday, Feb. 23, on the campus of Lurleen B. Wallace Community College in Andalusia, Ala.

February 22, 2019

A heartbreaking, last-second loss to No. 9 Pearl River back on Feb. 4 left the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Warriors with a 1-8 record in the MACJC South Division and little chance of qualifying for postseason play and a trip to the state basketball tournament.

The Warriors could ill afford another loss if they had any hopes of advancing to the postseason after a one-year absence.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ in Decatur will offer a new program in Diesel Equipment Technology in Philadelphia  beginning in Fall 2019, pending approval by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ men’s and women’s basketball teams both moved a step closer to postseason play with big wins over Hinds Community College in the final home games of the season in Bracken-Wood Gym in Decatur Monday, Feb. 18.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Lady Warriors took care of business in the opener with a 76-59 win over the Hinds Lady Bulldogs. The Warriors, needing a win to stay in contention for a postseason berth, defeated the Hinds Bulldogs 85-68.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ baseball team fell to No. 16 ranked Southeastern Iowa and perennial MACJC power Jones College in action Saturday, Feb. 16, at Community Bank Park on the Jones campus in Ellisville.

East Central picked up the two Saturday games in Ellisville after its scheduled doubleheader on Feb. 17 against Jefferson College (Mo.) at the Clark/Gay Baseball Complex in Decatur was canceled due to expected rain.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ head women’s soccer coach Ryan Joiner hosted a one day player ID camp on Sunday, Feb. 17, on the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ campus in Decatur. More than 50 players from around the state participated in two training sessions and played in two games on the turf at Bailey Stadium.
