Associate Degree Nursing Admission Requirements

Admission Procedures

All applicants are required to take the American College Test (ACT庐) and meet all College general admission requirements and Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program admission requirements. The ACT On-Campus鈩 test, or Residual ACT庐, is accepted by the nursing program; however, the Residual ACT does not transfer to other institutions. Nursing courses taken at another institution are not transferable. Applications for admission to the College may be obtained at ;

 

Admission Requirements 

Accelerated ADN Admission requirements:

The applicant must: 

  1. Complete an Accelerated ADN Program application in myEC.
  2. Have a minimum composite score of 18 on the ACT庐. This requirement is waived for applicants with a current LPN license and/or a bachelor鈥檚 degree or higher.
  3. Have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher.
  4. Completion of all required academic courses with a grade of 鈥淐鈥 or higher: Anatomy & Physiology I with lab or upper level equivalent course with lab; Anatomy & Physiology II with lab or upper level equivalent course with lab; Microbiology with lab or upper level equivalent course with lab; Human Growth & Development, Humanities/Fine Arts Elective; English Composition I; English Composition II; General Psychology; Public Speaking.
  5. Be eighteen (18) years or older. 

 

Traditional (2- year) Program Admission requirements:

The applicant must: 

  1. Complete an Accelerated ADN Program application in myEC.
  2. Have a minimum composite score of 18 on the ACT庐. This requirement is waived for applicants with a current LPN license and/or a bachelor鈥檚 degree or higher.
  3. Have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher.
  4. Completion of the required pre-requisite courses with a grade of 鈥淐鈥 or higher prior to the start of the first nursing course: Anatomy & Physiology I with lab or upper level equivalent course with lab; Anatomy & Physiology II with lab or upper level equivalent course with lab; and Microbiology with lab or upper level equivalent course with lab.
  5. Be eighteen (18) years or older.
