The No. 25 ranked ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ women’s tennis team picked up a big 5-4 win over the No. 19 ranked Meridian Community College Lady Eagles Wednesday, March 27, at the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Tennis Complex on the campus in Decatur.
It was East Central’s first win over perennial MACJC power Meridian since Jay Pacelli took over as head coach in July 2015.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ women’s basketball team will hold a tryout from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, in Brackeen-Wood Gym on the campus in Decatur.
The tryout is open to players who will graduate from high school in 2019, or have already graduated but have not already played two years of college sports. Anyone who is not a 2019 high school graduate will need to bring a copy of a recent physical in order to participate.
The cost is $20 per person, and players should bring their own basketball shoes.

Looking for something fun to do? Interested in learning a new craft? ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ in Decatur will offer one-day continuing education courses in Painting 101 and Homemade Soap Crafting during the month of April. The cost for each course is $40 per person.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ in Decatur recently announced audition dates for students interested in being a member of the Concert Choir and/or Vocé vocal ensemble for the 2019-20 college term.
Dates and times include 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2019; noon to 4 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019; and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8.
Students may also audition Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 12-13. There will be a signup sheet on the door of room 102 in Vickers Fine Arts Center for those two days.
