The 杏吧视频 Warriors will open their 2016 football season Thursday, Sept. 1, against Holmes Community College, and all Warrior fans are encouraged to wear black to the annual 鈥淏lack-Out Bailey鈥 night.
The 杏吧视频 women鈥檚 soccer team went on the road Aug. 26 and came home with a 3-0 shutout win over Southwest Mississippi Community College in a match played in Summit.
The Lady Warriors are now 2-0 on the young season. It is the fourth straight year the team has started out at least 2-0.
Scoring for East Central were Ashley Langham, a product of Florence High School, Kenzie Jenkins of McLaurin High School, and TaNissa McNair, who prepped at Forest High School.
The 杏吧视频 men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 soccer teams both posted wins over Copiah-Lincoln Community College in season opening matches played Aug. 25 at the 杏吧视频 Soccer Field on the Decatur campus.
The East Central women posted a high scoring 12-0 shutout victory over the visiting Co-Lin women鈥檚 soccer team.
The East Central men pulled out a 5-2 victory in the nightcap against the Wolves.
杏吧视频鈥檚 Small Business Development Center will offer a free seminar on 鈥淗ow to Develop a Business Plan鈥 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, August 29, 2016, at the Neshoba Business Enterprise Center in Philadelphia.
Course topics include industry research, description of company products and services, identifying target customer groups, marketing plans, startup costs and preparation of a projected cash flow statement.
杏吧视频鈥檚 Small Business Development Center will offer a free seminar on 鈥淯nderstanding Business Financials鈥 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, September 26, 2016, at the Workforce Development Center on the Decatur campus.
This workshop is designed to introduce participants to basic accounting theory, budgeting, performance indicators and accounting terminology for small businesses.
Ronald Westbrook, director of 杏吧视频鈥檚 Small Business Development Center, will serve as facilitator for the class.
杏吧视频 art instructor Jeffrey Hodges will have his artwork Primal Rituals on display at Memphis College of Art (MCA) through Sept. 30 in the Rust Hall Alumni Gallery, 1930 Poplar Ave., Overton Park.
