The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Warriors got a combined 55 points from Nick Preyer and JaQuarius Smith but it wasn’t enough as the home-standing Delgado Dolphins picked up an 88-84 win at the Michael Williamson Center in New Orleans, La., on Monday, Nov. 11.

Delgado used a 15-2 run to close the first half to pull out to a 47-36 lead at intermission. The Warriors got as close as one point, trailing 81-80 with two minutes to play in the game, before Delgado sealed the four-point win.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ in Decatur will close for the Thanksgiving holidays Monday through Friday, Nov. 25-29, 2019.

The college will reopen at 8 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 2.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Warriors reached the century mark in defeating the visiting Royal Ambassadors Christian School Lions 124-57 in exhibition basketball action Thursday, Nov. 7, in Brackeen-Wood Gym in Decatur.

General admission and chairback season tickets to all 2019-20 ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ men’s and women’s regular season home basketball games are now on sale.

The season tickets are good for the 10 home dates beginning with the Dec. 2 games against the Holmes Community College Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs in Brackeen-Wood Gym on the campus in Decatur.

General admission season tickets are $35, while chairback season tickets are $45.

The 2019-20 ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ men’s and women’s basketball teams will be introduced along with an evening of fun and entertainment at Wings and Warriors scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 5 p.m. in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium on the campus in Decatur.

The East Central Warrior cheerleaders, Wall O’ Sound Pep Band, and Centralettes will all participate.

The Warrior basketball teams will be introduced along with other activities.

The Aspen Institute College Excellence Program today named ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ in Decatur as one of the 150 community colleges in the nation eligible to compete for the $1 million Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, the signature recognition of high achievement and performance among community colleges in the United States.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Lady Warriors opened the 2019-20 basketball season with an impressive 68-33 win over Baton Rouge Community College Saturday, Nov. 2, in the Lady Bears Classic at the Bonne Sante Wellness Center in Baton Rouge, La.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ starts the season 1-0, while the Lady Bears fall to 0-2.

In accordance with Mississippi House Bill No. 1071 from the 2010 legislative session, ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ in Decatur has released its academic year 2017-2018 Mississippi Community College Performance Profile, or Report Card. The bill created an Education Achievement Council which was established to set education achievement goals for institutions of higher learning and community colleges in the state and to assist in monitoring progress towards those goals through the preparation of annual institutional and state report cards.

The ECCC Fine Arts Department will host multiple fall events this semester on the Decatur campus.

The Collegians, ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµâ€™s rock-and-roll band, will present its annual concert at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18 in Huff Auditorium. The event is free and the public is invited to attend.
