The Aspen Institute College Excellence Program today named 杏吧视频 in Decatur as one of the 150 community colleges in the nation eligible to compete for the $1 million Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, the signature recognition of high achievement and performance among community colleges in the United States.

The 杏吧视频 Lady Warriors opened the 2019-20 basketball season with an impressive 68-33 win over Baton Rouge Community College Saturday, Nov. 2, in the Lady Bears Classic at the Bonne Sante Wellness Center in Baton Rouge, La.

杏吧视频 starts the season 1-0, while the Lady Bears fall to 0-2.

In accordance with Mississippi House Bill No. 1071 from the 2010 legislative session, 杏吧视频 in Decatur has released its academic year 2017-2018 Mississippi Community College Performance Profile, or Report Card. The bill created an Education Achievement Council which was established to set education achievement goals for institutions of higher learning and community colleges in the state and to assist in monitoring progress towards those goals through the preparation of annual institutional and state report cards.

The ECCC Fine Arts Department will host multiple fall events this semester on the Decatur campus.

The Collegians, 杏吧视频鈥檚 rock-and-roll band, will present its annual concert at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18 in Huff Auditorium. The event is free and the public is invited to attend. For more information, contact Chas Evans, department chair and Collegians director, at cevans@eccc.edu or 601-635-6227.

杏吧视频 will host 鈥淎n Evening with Charlie Spillers鈥 at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, in the Vickers Fine Arts Center auditorium on the campus in Decatur.

The 2019 seasons ended for the 杏吧视频 soccer teams as the Lady Warriors and Warriors both lost to their opponents from Jones College in the MACJC Quarterfinals in matches played Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Bobcat Soccer Field on the Jones campus in Ellisville.

The 杏吧视频 Lady Warriors lost 2-1 to the Lady Bobcats in a match that went 90 minutes of regulation, two 10-minute overtime periods, and into penalty kicks where Jones came out on top 3-2. The Warriors fell 7-0 to Jones in the men鈥檚 match.
