The long and unprecedented road to the start of the 2020 football season for the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Warriors will finally end Thursday, Oct. 1, when they hit the gridiron against the Jones College Bobcats. Kickoff from Bobcat Stadium at Sim Cooley Field in Ellisville is 7 p.m.

Registration continues for Fall 2020 Intensive Term II on-campus, online, and four-week online courses at ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ in Decatur.

The last day to register for on-campus courses in the Fall 2020 Intensive Term II is Thursday, Oct. 8. Classes begin on Wednesday, Oct. 7.

Classes offered include Introduction to Business, Microsoft Word I, College Algebra, Computer Aided Design II, English Composition II, Calculus IV, and Music Appreciation.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Warriors will open the 2020 football season on the road Thursday, Oct. 1, against the Jones College Bobcats in a revised football schedule that features just six regular season games.

The Workforce Development Center at ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ in Decatur is offering several short-term training courses through the new ReSkillMS program.

The training being offered through December is intended to put Mississippians who lost their jobs or were displaced due to COVID-19 back to work.

Financial aid is available to qualified applicants.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ in Decatur is the best in the state for the fourth straight year in preparing students for success at four-year public universities in Mississippi.

Students who transferred from ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ to a public four-year institution earned the highest cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of all community college transfers in the state of Mississippi in 2020.

Both the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ men’s and women’s tennis teams along with 10 student-athletes have been recognized for academic success by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.20 or above.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ is holding Orientation sessions for new students in July on the campus in Decatur. New freshman and transfer students are coming to campus on designated dates to have their student IDs made, pick up parking decals, and receive Orientation packets, while wearing masks and practicing social distancing.
