The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ baseball team was swept by Hinds Community College after letting the Eagles take early leads in both games of the doubleheader at the Clark-Gay Baseball Complex in Decatur Tuesday, April 11.
Hinds took game one 6-3 and the nightcap 13-5.
With the losses, the Warriors dropped to 22-12 overall and 8-8 in MACJC league play. The Eagles improved to 21-9 on the season and 10-4 in the league.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Workforce Development Center will offer a course in Manufacturing Safety beginning Saturday, April 22, 2017, at the Career Advancement Center in Louisville.
The cost is $25 per person and the class meets from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for two consecutive days. Greg Forsythe will serve as instructor.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ in Decatur will again serve as the host site for the annual Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges All-Star Basketball Games.
This year's event is set for Friday, April 14. The women's contest begins at 5 p.m. and will be followed by the men's matchup at the Brackeen-Wood Gym.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ will host the third annual East Central Mississippi High School All-Star Basketball Games Thursday, April 13, in the Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium on the Decatur campus.
The women’s contest begins at 6 p.m. and will be followed by the men’s match-up at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students.
Participants are divided into North and South teams, based on the location of their schools.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Men’s Tennis Tops No. 18 Marion Military
After a week of competition against nationally ranked opponents, the No. 17 ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ men’s tennis team picked up a win over visiting No. 18 Marion Military Institute Saturday, April 8, at the Tennis Complex on the Decatur campus.
After losses to No. 19 Co-Lin and No. 18 Mississippi Gulf Coast earlier in the week, the Warriors knocked off Marion 6-3.
The East Central women fell to No. 14 Marion Military women 9-0.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ softball team traveled to Booneville Saturday, April 8, and came home with a pair of important MACJC wins over the Northeast Mississippi Community College Lady Tigers.
The No. 13 ranked Lady Diamond Warriors won a close 3-1 affair in game one and came back to take game two by a 7-1 score.
East Central improved to 33-5 on the year and 18-4 in MACJC league play. The Lady Warriors currently stand in third place in the 15-team league.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ to Hold Class Registration, Admission Sessions in Carthage, Choctaw, Louisville
Instructional Counselors from ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ will visit three of the college’s off-campus centers in April to assist current students with fall 2017 course registration and new students with enrolling in the college.
