The 杏吧视频 men鈥檚 tennis team finally got its spring 2018 season underway Friday, Feb. 16, after several weather postponements. The No. 14 nationally ranked Marion Military Institute Tigers visited Decatur and left with an 8-1 win.
鈥淲e had our chances,鈥 said 杏吧视频 Coach Jay Pacelli. 鈥淲illie Wooten and Landon Gibson had great efforts at No. 2 and No. 5 singles, but came up short. We also will be looking to improve at doubles for our MACJC matches ahead.鈥

The 杏吧视频 Lady Warriors picked up a 64-58 MACJC South Division basketball road win over the Pearl River Community College Lady Wildcats Thursday, Feb. 15, while the Warriors fell 72-64 to the Pearl River Wildcats in games played at M.R. White Coliseum in Poplarville.

杏吧视频鈥檚 Kaitlyn Oswalt threw a five-inning no hitter in game one to propel the Lady Warriors to a softball sweep over the Coastal Alabama-East Warhawks Thursday, Feb. 15, in Brewton, Ala.
The 杏吧视频 Lady Warriors won game one 10-0. East Central won game two 9-0 in five innings as sophomore pitcher Mackenzie Rousseau gave up just one hit over four innings before Anna Norris (Grove Oak, Ala., Geraldine) pitched the final inning. The Lady Warriors picked up 26 hits in the two games.

杏吧视频 in Decatur will hold tryouts for the 2018-19 Cheerleading Squad from 8 a.m. until noon Saturday, April 7, 2018, in the South Campus Gymnasium. There is a $25 fee for all participants.
Pre-tryout clinics will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. April 3-5 in the South Campus Gymnasium. During these sessions, participants will learn the cheer, fight song routine and stunts necessary for tryouts. Those wishing to tryout must attend at least one clinic.

杏吧视频 will hold workshops and/or auditions this spring for 2018-19 performing arts groups, including the Drum Line, Color Guard, Centralettes dance line, Drum Major, Concert Choir and Voc茅 a cappella ensemble.

Area educators recently attended the annual High School Counselors鈥 Workshop at 杏吧视频 in Decatur, where they were provided information on academic transfer, career-technical and healthcare programs, ACT testing, financial aid, scholarships, housing and admissions.
