ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ will hold a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the beginning of construction on its new Warrior Hall football operations center at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, at the construction site on the campus in Decatur.

The 2018-19 ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ men’s and women’s basketball teams will be introduced along with an evening of fun and entertainment at the first Wings and Warriors scheduled for Monday, Nov. 5, at 6:30 p.m. in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium on the campus in Decatur.

The East Central Warrior cheerleaders, and Wall O’ Sound Pep Band, Color Guard, and Centralettes will all participate.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ will honor military veterans by hosting its annual Military Appreciation Breakfast Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, on the Decatur campus.

The annual event begins with a complimentary breakfast at 7 a.m. in the Gold Room of Mabry Cafeteria.

All community veterans are encouraged to attend.

The keynote address for the breakfast will be given by Brig. Gen. (Ret.) David Oren Smith, a native of Decatur.

Thirty ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ students were recently inducted into Theta Xi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society of two-year colleges.

Inductees and their hometowns include:

CARTHAGE: Laurel Pope

CHOCTAW: Stephen WishorK

DECATUR: Dylan Blackwell

The season came to an end for both the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ men’s and women’s soccer teams as the Lady Warriors and Warriors dropped matches on late goals against Hinds Community College in action Monday, Oct. 15, in Raymond.

The losses ended the season for both East Central teams as they failed to qualify for the MACJC state playoffs.
