杏吧视频 Tennis Teams Split Home Conferences Matches with Itawamba

The 杏吧视频 Lady Warriors picked up their second tennis win of the spring over visiting Itawamba Friday, March 9, with a 6-3 victory, while the Warriors fell to the visiting No. 20 ICC Indians 6-3.

The MACJC matches were played at the Tennis Complex on the 杏吧视频 campus in Decatur.

The East Central Lady Warriors improved to 4-3 on the season, while the Warriors are now 0-7.

杏吧视频 Tennis Teams Drop Close Home Matches to Nationally Ranked Co-Lin

The 杏吧视频 men鈥檚 tennis match came down to the last courts of the day to decide the outcome before the No. 17 ranked Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves pulled out a 5-4 win Thursday, March 8, at the Tennis Complex on the campus in Decatur. The No. 24 ranked Co-Lin Lady Wolves earned a 6-3 win over the 杏吧视频 Lady Warriors.

The East Central men are now 0-6 on the season, while the Lady Warriors are 3-3.

杏吧视频 Women鈥檚 Tennis Wins Conference Match at ICC

February 24, 2018

The 杏吧视频 women鈥檚 tennis team improved its spring record to 2-1 Friday, Feb. 23, with a 9-0 win at Itawamba Community College in Fulton.

The 杏吧视频 men lost a tough 6-3 match to the ICC Indians to fall to 0-3 on the season.

Matches scheduled later that afternoon in New Albany against Blue Mountain College were canceled due to weather.

杏吧视频 Women鈥檚 Tennis Opens Season With 8-1 Defeat of Snead State

The 杏吧视频 women鈥檚 tennis team opened its 2018 spring season with an impressive 8-1 win over visiting Snead State Community College (Boaz, Ala.) Saturday, Feb. 17, at the Tennis Complex in Decatur.

鈥淚t was a strong start for our women鈥檚 team,鈥 said 杏吧视频 head coach Jay Pacelli. 鈥淲e persevered in a couple of tight doubles matches and are now looking forward to facing Co-Lin next week.鈥

杏吧视频 Warrior Tennis Drops Season-Opening Match to No. 14 Marion Military

February 17, 2018

The 杏吧视频 men鈥檚 tennis team finally got its spring 2018 season underway Friday, Feb. 16, after several weather postponements. The No. 14 nationally ranked Marion Military Institute Tigers visited Decatur and left with an 8-1 win.

鈥淲e had our chances,鈥 said 杏吧视频 Coach Jay Pacelli. 鈥淲illie Wooten and Landon Gibson had great efforts at No. 2 and No. 5 singles, but came up short. We also will be looking to improve at doubles for our MACJC matches ahead.鈥
