ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Softball Season Comes to an End in Powerful Region 23 Tournament

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ softball team survived its first elimination game Friday but could not survive the second as the Lady Warriors’ 2018 season came to an end in the National Junior College Athletic Association Region 23 Tournament played May 10-12 on the campus of Itawamba Community College in Fulton.

No. 11 ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Softball to Face No. 4 Jones County in MACJC State Tournament

The No. 11 ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Lady Warrior softball team will face No. 4 ranked Jones County Junior College in its opening game of the 2018 Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges State Tournament in Fulton.

No. 3 Seed East Central and No. 2 Seed Jones County will play at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 4.

No. 3 ranked Itawamba Community College is the top seed and tournament host. The Lady Indians will play No. 5 Seed Pearl River Community College at 4 p.m. on the opening day.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Baseball Drops MACJC Doubleheader to Visiting Meridian

No. 17 ranked ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ held early leads in both games but could not keep them as the Meridian Community College Eagles swept an MACJC baseball doubleheader Tuesday, April 24, at Clark-Gay Baseball Complex in Decatur.

East Central lost the first game 8-5 after leading 3-0 early and 5-4 heading to the top of the ninth inning. The Warriors scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning of the nightcap, but failed to score the rest of the way as Meridian won 8-3.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Softball Set to Host State Playoff Series April 27-28

The No. 10 nationally ranked ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ softball team will host a Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges first-round state playoff series Friday and Saturday, April 27-28, at the Softball Park in Decatur.

East Central will be the No. 3 seed in the state playoffs. The opponent will be determined after all league games are completed this week.

No. 10 ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Softball Earns Home Playoff Series With Sweep at Northwest

The No. 10 ranked ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Lady Warriors swept a softball doubleheader at Northwest Mississippi Community College, Saturday, April 21, and in the process earned the right to host a first-round playoff series.

The Lady Warriors won the opener 10-0, and scored eight runs late for a 10-6 comeback win in the nightcap at Ranger Softball Field in Senatobia.
