The No. 13 ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Lady Warrior soccer team dropped the 2022 MACCC opener against No. 4 Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs, 3-0, on Friday, Sept. 16. The loss drops the Lady Warriors to 3-2, 0-1 on the year, while the Lady Bulldogs improved to 5-0, 1-0.

The Warriors of ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ evened out their 2022 record to 1-1 on Friday, Sept. 16, but more importantly, got the first MACCC win of the season as the Warriors downed Holmes Community College 2-1. Holmes moved to 1-1, 0-1 with the loss.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Board of Trustee member David Byars of Philadelphia (left) was recently honored for 20 years of service to the college’s board. He was presented a plaque by ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ President Dr. Brent Gregory. Byars is retired owner of Byars Furniture.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ golf team had a strong showing in the first tournament of 2022 as the Warriors carded a 609 at Shiloh Ridge in Corinth Sept. 12-13. The score landed the Warriors a 4th place finish in the 11-team field.

The No. 13 ranked ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Lady Warriors fell to the South Georgia State College Lady Hawks on Monday, Sept. 12, as the teams met at the Folmar Soccer Complex in Montgomery, Ala. The 2-1 loss to the NJCAA DI program drops the Lady Warriors to 3-1 on the year, while the Lady Hawks improve to 3-1.
