The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Workforce Development Center will offer courses in Conversational Spanish and Manufacturing Skills Basic Certification at the Carthage Career Advancement Center beginning in August.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Workforce Development Center will offer numerous classes during the month of August at the Philadelphia/Neshoba County Career-Technical Center located on Valley View Drive.

Basic Automotive Repair begins Monday, Aug. 14, 2017, and will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. for eight consecutive Mondays. Kirt Doss will serve as instructor. The cost is $150 per person.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ in Decatur will hold its final Orientation Session before fall 2017 classes start on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017. Registering for fall 2017 classes is among the activities new and transfer students will participate in at the final Warrior Wednesday.

Fall 2017 on-campus classes begin on Monday, Aug. 14.

Two-Time NCAA National Championship-Winning Soccer Coach to Present Clinic at ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ

Randy Waldrum, who won more than 475 matches and two NCAA Division I National Championships as a college soccer coach, will present a Coaches Clinic, Saturday, Aug. 12, at ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ in Decatur.

The clinic will be held at the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Soccer Complex on the north end of campus. The cost for soccer coaches to participate is $50.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ will dedicate its new Women’s Residence Hall with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017 on the campus in Decatur.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ will start a new tradition in fall 2017 as its annual Homecoming Celebration will move from Saturday to Thursday for the first time in many years.

Homecoming 2017 at ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ in Decatur is set for Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017. The day will conclude with the annual Homecoming football game with the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Warriors hosting the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers at 6:30 p.m. in Bailey Stadium.

For the second straight year ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ in Decatur was named one of the best colleges in the nation to work for in an annual survey of more than 45,000 college and university employees by The Chronicle of Higher Education.
