ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Softball Scores 27 in Sweep of Mississippi Delta

The No. 14 ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Lady Warrior softball team pounded out 33 hits and plated 27 runs in sweeping a doubleheader from the Mississippi Delta Community College Lady Trojans Sunday afternoon, March 26, in Moorhead.

East Central won the first game 14-2 in five innings and then took the nightcap 13-2 in six innings.

With the wins, the Lady Warriors improved to 26-4 on the season and 11-3 in MACJC league play.

Baseball Warriors Sweep Holmes With Impressive Day At The Plate

The bats were hot for the No. 7 ranked Diamond Warriors on Friday, March 24, as the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ baseball scored 41 runs through two games to sweep the Holmes Community College Bulldogs in Goodman. The solid hitting performance landed ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ a 30-1 and 11-2 wins.

With the sweep, East Central improved to 20-4 on the season and 6-0 in MACJC league play.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Tennis Teams Rebound from Losses to Sweep Holmes

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ men’s and women’s tennis teams rebounded from losses to nationally ranked Meridian teams earlier in the week to sweep Holmes Community College by identical 9-0 scores in matches played Friday, March 24, at the new Tennis Complex in Decatur.

The No. 17 ranked Warriors improved their record to 7-4 on the season, while the Lady Warriors improved to 5-6.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Tennis Teams Fall to Nationally Ranked Meridian

The nationally ranked Meridian Community College tennis teams swept matches from the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ men’s and women’s teams at the Tennis Complex in Decatur March 22.

The No. 20 ranked Meridian women defeated the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Lady Warriors 9-0, while the No. 13 Meridian men beat the No.17 East Central Warriors 9-0. The East Central women are now 4-6 overall on the season and the men are 6-4.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Splits Softball Doubleheader with Northwest

The No. 12 ranked ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ softball team ended its 10-game spring break schedule by splitting a doubleheader against the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers at the Softball Park in Decatur Sunday, March 19.

The Lady Diamond Warriors lost the first game of the afternoon 6-3, but picked up a 6-2 victory over the Rangers in game two.

With the split, ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ is now 22-4 overall and 7-3 in MACJC league play.
