ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ (ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ) in Decatur is searching for a head women’s soccer coach to lead the program.
Gray Massey, who coached the East Central women the past five seasons, has been tabbed to start a women’s soccer program at a four-year university, with that announcement to be made in the coming days.

Four members of the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ men’s soccer team and three members of the women’s soccer team have been chosen to compete in the 2017 MACJC All-Star Soccer matches Saturday, Nov. 11, at Freedom Ridge Park in Ridgeland. The women’s match is set for 2 p.m., with the men’s match to follow at 4:30 p.m.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ women’s soccer team got goals from three different players en route to a 3-1 win over Southwest Mississippi Community College Friday, Oct. 20, in Summit.
East Central completed its season with a 6-4-2 overall record and 3-4-1 in the MACJC North Division. Southwest completed its season 4-10 overall and 1-7 in the MACJC South Division.
It was the fourth straight winning season for the East Central women, and the first time the Lady Warriors missed the playoffs since 2013.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ women’s soccer team went out of conference to play the University of Mississippi women’s club team in Oxford Tuesday, Oct. 17.
The Lady Rebels came out on top with a 4-2 win over East Central.
Scoring for East Central in the match were freshman forward Kelli Vaughn of Stanhope Elmore in Millbrook, Ala., in the first half and sophomore forward Cailee Helen McClain of Starkville in the second half.

Ashley Langham and Dylan Shoemaker have been named the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Men’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week, respectively, for the week of Oct. 9-Oct. 15, 2017.

Scoreless for 99 minutes and 59 seconds, ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ’s Ashley Langham knocked in the golden goal with one second left in the first overtime period to give the Lady Warriors a 1-0 win over Northwest Mississippi Community College Wednesday, Oct. 11.
In the men’s action, East Central got goals from three different players in a 3-2 win over Northwest.
The MACJC North Division matches were played on the Northwest campus in Senatobia.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ soccer teams traveled to Fulton Friday, Oct. 6, for a pair of important MACJC North Division soccer matches against Itawamba Community College, with the men’s team picking up an important win.
The Warriors scored the game winner in the 83rd minute to defeat the Indians 2-1. Sophomore defender Cory Furlow out of Clinton got the winning goal, assisted by freshman midfielder Chris Perez of Forest.

There was a lot of free soccer at the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ soccer pitch Wednesday, Oct. 4, as both the men’s and women’s teams went to overtime in their MACJC North Division matches against Holmes Community College.
