7 ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Soccer Players, Head Coach Chosen for MACJC All-Star Game

Four members of the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ men’s soccer team and three members of the women’s soccer team have been chosen to compete in the 2017 MACJC All-Star Soccer matches Saturday, Nov. 11, at Freedom Ridge Park in Ridgeland. The women’s match is set for 2 p.m., with the men’s match to follow at 4:30 p.m.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Women’s Soccer Wins Season Finale at Southwest

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ women’s soccer team got goals from three different players en route to a 3-1 win over Southwest Mississippi Community College Friday, Oct. 20, in Summit.

East Central completed its season with a 6-4-2 overall record and 3-4-1 in the MACJC North Division. Southwest completed its season 4-10 overall and 1-7 in the MACJC South Division.

It was the fourth straight winning season for the East Central women, and the first time the Lady Warriors missed the playoffs since 2013.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Women’s Soccer Drops Road Match to Ole Miss Club Team

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ women’s soccer team went out of conference to play the University of Mississippi women’s club team in Oxford Tuesday, Oct. 17.

The Lady Rebels came out on top with a 4-2 win over East Central.

Scoring for East Central in the match were freshman forward Kelli Vaughn of Stanhope Elmore in Millbrook, Ala., in the first half and sophomore forward Cailee Helen McClain of Starkville in the second half.

Golden Goal Gives East Central Women’s Soccer Thrilling Win at Northwest

Scoreless for 99 minutes and 59 seconds, ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµâ€™s Ashley Langham knocked in the golden goal with one second left in the first overtime period to give the Lady Warriors a 1-0 win over Northwest Mississippi Community College Wednesday, Oct. 11.

In the men’s action, East Central got goals from three different players in a 3-2 win over Northwest.

The MACJC North Division matches were played on the Northwest campus in Senatobia.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Warrior Soccer Gets Important Division Win at Itawamba

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ soccer teams traveled to Fulton Friday, Oct. 6, for a pair of important MACJC North Division soccer matches against Itawamba Community College, with the men’s team picking up an important win.

The Warriors scored the game winner in the 83rd minute to defeat the Indians 2-1. Sophomore defender Cory Furlow out of Clinton got the winning goal, assisted by freshman midfielder Chris Perez of Forest.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Soccer Teams Go to Overtime in Matches With Holmes

There was a lot of free soccer at the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ soccer pitch Wednesday, Oct. 4, as both the men’s and women’s teams went to overtime in their MACJC North Division matches against Holmes Community College.
