ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Warrior Baseball Splits Road Doubleheader at Southwest

The Southwest Bears erased a four-run deficit in game one to take a 5-4 win, before the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ bats came alive in game two and the Warriors grabbed an 11-1 run-rule win in six innings for the doubleheader split Wednesday, March 27, on the Southwest campus in Summit.
With the MACJC doubleheader split, East Central is now 11-11 overall on the season and 4-4 in MACJC play. Southwest is 10-11 overall and 2-6 in the conference.
ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Women’s Tennis Upsets Meridian, Men Drop Tough Decision to Eagles

The No. 25 ranked ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ women’s tennis team picked up a big 5-4 win over the No. 19 ranked Meridian Community College Lady Eagles Wednesday, March 27, at the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Tennis Complex on the campus in Decatur.
It was East Central’s first win over perennial MACJC power Meridian since Jay Pacelli took over as head coach in July 2015.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Women’s Basketball to Hold Tryout April 11

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ women’s basketball team will hold a tryout from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, in Brackeen-Wood Gym on the campus in Decatur.
The tryout is open to players who will graduate from high school in 2019, or have already graduated but have not already played two years of college sports. Anyone who is not a 2019 high school graduate will need to bring a copy of a recent physical in order to participate.
The cost is $20 per person, and players should bring their own basketball shoes.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Lady Warrior softball team picked up its second straight MACJC conference sweep with a pair wins against the Meridian Lady Eagles Tuesday, March 26, at Tommy McDonald Field at Highland Park in Meridian.
