The 杏吧视频 tennis teams swept the visitors from Holmes Community College in matches played Friday, March 29, at the 杏吧视频 Tennis Complex in Decatur.
The No. 25 ranked Lady Warriors won 8-1, while the 杏吧视频 Warriors got a 9-0 shutout win. East Central defeated Holmes by identical 9-0 scores in Goodman back on Feb. 13.
With the wins, the 杏吧视频 men are now 8-8 on the season, while the Lady Warriors improved to 10-6.
鈥淭he ladies continue their steady play,鈥 said 杏吧视频 head coach Jay Pacelli. 鈥淚t also was a nice victory for the men as we get ready for the home stretch of our spring season.

EC鈥檚 Chris Lawrance (York, Western Australia) and Isaac Santitto (Innisfail, Queensland, Australia) defeated Holmes鈥 Dallas Elmore and Jaime Hernandez, 8-0; EC鈥檚 Dylan Barnett (Newton County) and Peyton Chaney (Newton County) defeated Holmes鈥 Nicholas Bails and Joshua Maughan, 8-5; and EC鈥檚 Will Ladner (Stone County) and Jake Wofford (East Webster) defeated Holmes鈥 Blaike Langston and Ben Skelton, 8-2.
Men鈥檚 Singles Results:
EC鈥檚 Lawrance defeated Elmore, 6-0, 6-0; EC鈥檚 Santitto defeated Bails, 6-0, 6-0; EC鈥檚 Barnett defeated Maughan, 6-2, 6-2; EC鈥檚 Isaac Keen (Winston County) defeated Hernandez, 6-2, 6-2; EC鈥檚 Wofford defeated Holmes鈥 Blaike Langston, 6-0, 6-0; and EC鈥檚 Chaney defeated Skelton, 6-0, 6-0.

EC鈥檚 Ali Grace Walker (Newton County) and Josie Hurst (Newton County) defeated Holmes鈥 Alexis Kahmann and Khin Lwin, 8-6; EC鈥檚 Gabriela Gomez (Bogota, Colombia) and Kayla Baucum (Newton County) defeated Holmes鈥 Shelly Duncan and Emily Evans, 8-0; and EC鈥檚 Bethany Wellerman (Newton County Academy) and Alexis Tindall (Newton County Academy) won by forfeit.

Kahmann defeated EC鈥檚 Gomez, 6-4, 3-6 (10-8); EC鈥檚 Walker defeated Lwin, 6-1, 6-0; EC鈥檚 Hurst defeated Evans, 6-1, 6-0; EC鈥檚 Tindall defeated Holmes鈥 Mackenzie Hunt, 6-0, 6-0; EC鈥檚 Wellerman defeated Duncan, 6-0, 6-0; and EC鈥檚 Madison Crapps (Pisgah) won by forfeit.
East Central will hit the road to face Hinds in Raymond at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2. The Warriors and Lady Warriors will then host Marion Military (Ala.) at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 5, and Itawamba at Noon on Saturday, April 6, both in Decatur.
