The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Lady Warriors started a week of six softball games in five days by sweeping the No. 10 team in the nation on the road.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ had held its own recently against nationally ranked teams, but the visiting Itawamba Indians overpowered the Warriors in a couple of MACJC baseball games Monday, April 15, at the Clark-Gay Baseball Complex in Decatur.
No. 4 ranked Itawamba scored all its runs in two innings to win the opener 12-4 by run-rule in seven innings. The Indians scored eight runs in the first inning and then runs in every inning after that to win the nightcap 26-7. Itawamba hit six home runs in the two games.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ men’s and women’s tennis teams completed their seasons in the 2019 Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges State/National Junior College Athletic Association Region 23 Tournament held April 10-12 in Tupelo.
The East Central men finished in sixth in the nine-team field, while the No. 25 ranked ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ women finished in fourth place and one spot short of qualifying for the national tournament.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Warriors picked up a convincing win over the nation’s No. 7 ranked baseball team in game one of a doubleheader and then saw its hopes of a sweep end by an extra inning walk-off home run in the nightcap.
East Central defeated No. 7 Pearl River 8-2 in the opening game of an MACJC baseball doubleheader Wednesday, April 10, at Dub Herring Park on the PRCC campus in Poplarville, before the Wildcats won the second game 2-1 in dramatic fashion.
The honors keep coming for ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ's Thomas Boothe. The sophomore right-hander has added National Junior College Athletic Association Division II National Pitcher of the Week to his accolades after a stellar performance on the mound for the Warriors last week.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ will host its fifth annual East Central Mississippi High School All-Star Basketball Games Saturday, April 13, in the Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium on the Decatur campus.
The Underclass Women’s All-Star Game begins at 2:30 p.m., the Senior Women’s All-Star Game at 4 p.m., the Underclass Men’s All-Star Game at 5:00 p.m., and the Senior Men’s All-Star Game at 7:30 p.m.
Admission is $8 for the day.

Freshman Braelyn Boykin pitched a four-hitter in the nightcap to help the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Lady Warriors defeat the Southwest Lady Bears 2-1 and salvage a split in MACJC softball action Tuesday, April 9, in Summit.
East Central tried to rally from an eight-run deficit in the opener, but fell short 9-7.
