An open tryout for the fall 2021 ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ men's soccer team will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Soccer Complex on the Decatur campus, announced head men's soccer coach Kenneth Thompson.
Players will need to bring their own equipment to workout in for the afternoon. All players will have to sign a waiver of liability in order to participate in the tryouts and provide a copy of a current physical.
The 2019 ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Men’s Soccer team received its Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges Tom Shepard Award for Sportsmanship at a team breakfast Monday, Feb. 3, in Mabry Cafeteria. The 2019 seasons ended for the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ soccer teams as the Lady Warriors and Warriors both lost to their opponents from Jones College in the MACJC Quarterfinals in matches played Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Bobcat Soccer Field on the Jones campus in Ellisville.
The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Lady Warriors lost 2-1 to the Lady Bobcats in a match that went 90 minutes of regulation, two 10-minute overtime periods, and into penalty kicks where Jones came out on top 3-2. The Warriors fell 7-0 to Jones in the men’s match.
