The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ men’s soccer team saw its season come to an end with a 5-1 loss to the Southwest Mississippi Community College Bears in an MACJC quarterfinal matchup in Bailey Stadium in Decatur Tuesday, Oct. 25.
ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ’s lone goal was by Fredy Gutierrez of Pontotoc High School on a penalty kick.
Coach Kenneth Thompson’s men’s squad finished 9-8 on the season and 5-3 in the North Division.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ men’s soccer team fell to Hinds Community College 6-0 in MACJC North Division action Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Soccer Complex on the Decatur campus.
The Warriors were not able to score in their final regular season game against the Eagles.
The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ men’s soccer team finished second in the division and will host Southwest Mississippi Community College in the first round of the playoffs in Bailey Stadium in Decatur on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 7:00 p.m.

With a 2-1 win over Holmes Community College in Ridgeland Friday, Oct. 14, the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ men’s soccer team won its sixth straight match.
Scoring for the Warriors were Blake Bonds, a produce of Germantown High School, assisted by Fredy Gutierrez of Pontotoc High School, and Jacob Thomas our of Northwest Rankin High School, assisted by Tanner Lindsey, also a product of Northwest Rankin.
The win improved ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ to 9-6 on the season and 5-2 in the North Division.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ men’s soccer team beat Northwest Mississippi Community College 3-1 Friday, Oct. 7, for its fifth straight win.
Sophomore midfielder Fredy Gutierrez of Pontotoc High School scored off an assist by John Jimenez of Oruo, Bolivia, to begin the scoring for the Warriors in the first half.
In the second half, defender Gage Leifried of Southeast Lauderdale High School scored his first goal of the season off an assist by Gutierrez. Then Gutierrez drove in a penalty kick to give East Central a 3-0 lead.

A hat trick by sophomore midfielder Fredy Gutierrez powered the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ men’s soccer team to its fourth straight win, a 4-2 MACJC North Division victory over Itawamba Community College in a match played Oct. 5 in Fulton.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ sophomore midfielder Fredy Gutierrez has been named the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges Men's Soccer Offensive of the Week for the week of Sept. 26- Oct.2.
Gutierrez, a product of Ponotoc High School, had six shots on goal, three goals and one assist in a 1-0 East Central victory over Meridian Community College and a 1-0 win Jones County College.
The East Central men's soccer team, coached by Kenneth Thompson, is 6-6 on the season and 2-2 in the MACJC North Division.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ men’s soccer team was seconds away from heading into overtime against Jones County Junior College Friday, Sept. 30, in Ellisville, but a goal by freshman Jacob Thomas brought home an East Central win.
The match remained scoreless until 19 seconds to play.
Midfielder Thomas of Northwest Rankin High School scored off an assist by Tomaz McNair of Forest High School for the 1-0 victory.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ men’s soccer team defeated Meridian Community College 4-3 in overtime Wednesday, Sept. 28, in Bailey Stadium in Decatur.
ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ jumped out to an early lead with goals by Blake Bonds of Germantown High School, assisted by Fredy Gutierrez of Pontotoc High School, and Gutierrez.
MCC fought back to tie the match up 2-2 at the half.
Gutierrez scored once again in the second half, before MCC tied the match 3-3 to send it to overtime.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ men’s soccer team fell to Pearl River Community College 1-0 in overtime Friday, Sept. 23, in Bailey Stadium, but went on the road to defeat Copiah-Lincoln Community College 2-1 on Saturday, Sept. 24.
Sophomore forward Will Stewart of Newton County High School made both goals in the Co-Lin match-up.
East Central was able to get on the board first with Stewart’s first half goal assisted by Blake Bonds of Germantown High School.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Warrior soccer team fought hard, but ran out of time in a 4-2 loss against the Southwest Community College Bears Tuesday, Sept. 20, in Bailey Stadium on the Decatur campus.
The Warriors were down 2-0 in the second half, but were able to tie the game 2-2 with 13 minutes to play.
Southwest scored on a penalty kick and added another goal with two minutes left to play to go up for good and the win.
