The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ basketball teams closed out 2019 play with a sweep over visiting Delgado Community College Tuesday, Dec. 17, in Brackeen-Wood Gym on the campus in Decatur.
The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Lady Warriors never trailed in defeating the Delgado Lady Dolphins from New Orleans 57-46 in the opener. The Warriors picked up a 97-72 win over the Dolphins in the men’s contest.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ basketball teams dropped a pair of MACJC South Division contests to the undefeated teams from Mississippi Gulf Coast Monday, Dec. 9, in the Weathers-Wentzell Center on the Gulf Coast campus in Perkinston.
The Gulf Coast Lady Bulldogs won the opener 52-44, while the Gulf Coast Bulldogs took the men’s game 102-90.

The No. 12 ranked Chipola College Lady Indians defeated the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Lady Warriors 70-57 in women’s basketball action Friday, Nov. 22, on the Chipola campus in Marianna, Fla.
The two teams were tied 13-13 after one period, before the Lady Indians took a nine-point lead into the locker room at the half. Chipola surged to an 18-point lead after three periods before a strong final period by East Central closed the gap to the final 13-point margin.

Just three days after being swept on the road at East Mississippi, the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ men’s and women’s basketball teams responded with a road sweep over Holmes Community College Monday, Nov. 18, in Goodman.
The MACJC non-division games were played at the Frank Branch Coliseum on the Holmes campus.
The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Lady Warriors won the opener 83-59. The Warriors came out on top in the second game of the evening 87-75.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ basketball teams made the short drive to Scooba Thursday, Nov. 14, and were swept by the homestanding East Mississippi Community College teams in MACJC non-division action.
The EMCC Lady Lions won the opener 73-57, while the East Central men fell 88-85 to the Lions.
The Lady Lions blew open a close game with a big second period. EMCC led the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Lady Warriors 17-16 after 10 minutes of play, before the Lady Lions went on a 21-6 run to take a 38-22 halftime lead and control of the game.

General admission and chairback season tickets to all 2019-20 ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ men’s and women’s regular season home basketball games are now on sale.
The season tickets are good for the 10 home dates beginning with the Dec. 2 games against the Holmes Community College Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs in Brackeen-Wood Gym on the campus in Decatur.
General admission season tickets are $35, while chairback season tickets are $45.
