杏吧视频 Warrior Baseball Players Sign to Play at Four-Year Colleges

Four 杏吧视频 baseball players signed National Letters of Intent for the November signing period to continue their baseball careers at four-year colleges and universities.

鈥淲e are very proud of all four of these young men as they continue their education and baseball careers,鈥 said Head Baseball Coach Neal Holliman. 鈥淭hey have all been great representatives of our college and will be major contributors for us this upcoming season.鈥

East Central sports teams receive NJCAA team academic honors

Seven 杏吧视频 varsity sports teams earned National Junior College Athletic Association Academic Team of the Year honorable mention awards for having met the grade-point average requirement of 3.00 or better for the 2015-16 season.
 
The 杏吧视频 Diamond Warrior baseball team finished with a 3.43 GPA and ranked sixth overall.
 
The women鈥檚 basketball team also earned an honorable mention award, finishing with a 3.0 GPA.
 

杏吧视频鈥檚 Baseball Team Drops Doubleheader to Shelton State on the Road

Late inning runs allowed NJCAA Division I Shelton State Community College to sweep the 杏吧视频 Diamond Warriors in a baseball doubleheader Tuesday, March 8, in Tuscaloosa.
 
杏吧视频鈥檚 overall record falls to 12-6 on the season.
 
In game one, the Diamond Warriors took the lead early scoring one run in the top of the second. Shelton State responded in the bottom of the second with a run of their own.
 

杏吧视频鈥檚 Diamond Warriors sweep Itawamba in non-conference action

The 杏吧视频 baseball team defeated Itawamba Community College in a doubleheader on Saturday, March 5, at the Clark/Gay Baseball Complex in Decatur. 
 
The Diamond Warriors won 13-1 in the seven-inning game one win. 
 
Two big innings propelled East Central in game one. 杏吧视频 took the early lead after scoring four runs in the bottom of the first inning. The Diamond Warriors then added six more runs in the fifth to push the lead to 10-0.
 

East Central鈥檚 baseball team sweeps Lawson State Community College

The 杏吧视频 Diamond Warriors swept National Junior College Athletic Association Division I Lawson State Community College out of Birmingham, Ala., 9-8 and 10-1 on Monday, Feb. 29, in Decatur.
鈥
The Diamond Warriors鈥 overall record improved to 10-4. Lawson State鈥檚 record dropped to 7-4.

In the close game-one matchup, 杏吧视频 had to overcome an 8-4 Lawson State lead with five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning for the 9-8 win.
