The Warriors of ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ picked a big-time win on Tuesday, May 11, as the team defeated the Holmes Bulldogs, 2-1, in a rainy, road match. The win moves ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ to 4-6-2 on the year and keeps the Warriors in the playoff hunt. The Warriors wrap up the regular season on Friday, May 14, as the Hinds Eagles travel to Decatur for a 7 p.m. match in Bailey Stadium. The match is a must-win for ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ to stay in postseason contention. The Warriors also need a Northwest victory over Itawamba to earn the No. 3 seed in the MACCC North Divison.
The Warriors set the tone of the match early as (Jackson) found the back of the net just eight minutes into the contest. A score that would until the second half.
ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ continued the offensive attack for the remainder of the game and got a valuable insurance goal with less than four minutes remaining from (Vicksburg). The goal proved pivotal as the Bulldogs were able to score one in the final minutes, cutting ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ's lead to 2-1.
