�Ӱ��Ƶ Softball Sweeps Northwest to Advance to MACJC State Tournament

The �Ӱ��Ƶ softball team swept Northwest Mississippi Community College in an MACJC best-of-three playoff series Friday, April 28, and Saturday, April 29, on the Decatur campus to advance to next weekend’s state tournament.

The Lady Diamond Warriors took game one 13-5 on Friday after putting up seven runs in the third inning. East Central then won a back and forth game two battle on Saturday 17-12.

�Ӱ��Ƶ Baseball Picks Up Big Conference Wins At Meridian

The �Ӱ��Ƶ baseball team picked up a crucial doubleheader sweep over Meridian Community College in Meridian on Tuesday, April 25.

The bats were hot for the Warriors with a 14-0 game one win and an 8-5 win in the nightcap.

With the wins, East Central improved to 29-13 overall and 15-9 in MACJC league play. The Warriors are currently in fifth place in league play with the top nine teams qualifying for post-season play.

No. 9 Ranked �Ӱ��Ƶ Softball Set to Host State Playoff Series April 28-29

The No. 9 nationally ranked �Ӱ��Ƶ softball team will host a Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges first round state playoff series Friday and Saturday, April 28-29, at the Softball Park in Decatur.

The Lady Diamond Warriors’ opponent and game times will be announced after some teams play their final regular season games on Wednesday.

�Ӱ��Ƶ Softball Closes Regular Season with Sweep of Baton Rouge

The No. 9 nationally ranked �Ӱ��Ƶ softball team ended regular season play Friday, April 21, with a couple of run-rule wins over visiting Baton Rouge Community College.

The Lady Diamond Warriors won the first game 11-3 in six innings and then took the second game 12-1 in five innings.

With the wins, East Central improved to 40-6 overall on the season and 23-5 in MACJC league play.

�Ӱ��Ƶ Baseball Picks up Crucial Doubleheader Sweep at Co-Lin

Battling for playoff positioning, the �Ӱ��Ƶ baseball team picked up a crucial doubleheader sweep over Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson on Wednesday, April 19.

East Central overcame an early deficit to win game one 11-9 and then took the nightcap 16-8.

With the wins, East Central improved to 26-12 overall and 12-8 in MACJC league play. More importantly, the Warriors moved into a tie for fifth place in league play with the top nine teams qualifying for post-season play.

�Ӱ��Ƶ Baseball Back on Winning Track with Sweep of Northeast

After dropping two games at home to Hinds earlier in the week, the �Ӱ��Ƶ Warriors got back on the winning track with a doubleheader sweep over Northeast Mississippi Community College Friday, April 14, at the Clark-Gay Baseball Complex in Decatur.

East Central won the opener 10-1 and took the nightcap 9-2.
