The 杏吧视频 men鈥檚 tennis team finally got its spring 2018 season underway Friday, Feb. 16, after several weather postponements. The No. 14 nationally ranked Marion Military Institute Tigers visited Decatur and left with an 8-1 win.
鈥淲e had our chances,鈥 said 杏吧视频 Coach Jay Pacelli. 鈥淲illie Wooten and Landon Gibson had great efforts at No. 2 and No. 5 singles, but came up short. We also will be looking to improve at doubles for our MACJC matches ahead.鈥

The 杏吧视频 Lady Warriors picked up a 64-58 MACJC South Division basketball road win over the Pearl River Community College Lady Wildcats Thursday, Feb. 15, while the Warriors fell 72-64 to the Pearl River Wildcats in games played at M.R. White Coliseum in Poplarville.

杏吧视频鈥檚 Kaitlyn Oswalt threw a five-inning no hitter in game one to propel the Lady Warriors to a softball sweep over the Coastal Alabama-East Warhawks Thursday, Feb. 15, in Brewton, Ala.
The 杏吧视频 Lady Warriors won game one 10-0. East Central won game two 9-0 in five innings as sophomore pitcher Mackenzie Rousseau gave up just one hit over four innings before Anna Norris (Grove Oak, Ala., Geraldine) pitched the final inning. The Lady Warriors picked up 26 hits in the two games.

The 杏吧视频 Lady Warrior softball team scored twice in the top of the eighth inning to grab a 5-4 second game win over Marion Military Institute Monday, Feb. 12, and salvage a doubleheader split with the Lady Tigers.
Marion Military won the opener 9-1 in the doubleheader played in Marion, Ala.
East Central, ranked No. 10 in the NJCAA Division II Softball Poll, is now 3-1 overall on the season. Division I Marion Military is 6-4.

The 杏吧视频 Lady Warriors overcame a fast start by the Mississippi Gulf Coast Lady Bulldogs Thursday night, Feb. 8, to earn a 75-64 MACJC South Division win in Perkinston. It was quite the opposite in the men鈥檚 action as the Gulf Coast Bulldogs rolled out to a big lead early and never looked back in defeating the Warriors 86-61.
The games were played in the Weathers/Wentzell Center on the Gulf Coast campus.

An open tryout for the 2018 杏吧视频 women鈥檚 soccer team will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at the Soccer Complex on the campus in Decatur, announced new head women鈥檚 soccer coach Ryan Joiner.
Registration will be held at the soccer field beginning at 1 p.m.
Players will need to bring their own equipment to workout in for the day. All players will have to sign a waiver of liability, bring a current copy of their physical, and fill out a player information sheet in order to tryout.
