No. 11 ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Softball to Face No. 4 Jones County in MACJC State Tournament

The No. 11 ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Lady Warrior softball team will face No. 4 ranked Jones County Junior College in its opening game of the 2018 Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges State Tournament in Fulton.

No. 3 Seed East Central and No. 2 Seed Jones County will play at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 4.

No. 3 ranked Itawamba Community College is the top seed and tournament host. The Lady Indians will play No. 5 Seed Pearl River Community College at 4 p.m. on the opening day.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Baseball Hosting Two Summer Team Camp Sessions in June

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ baseball program is hosting two Summer Team Camps in June for commuters and overnight campers.

Session one of ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµâ€™s Team Baseball Summer Camp is June 4-6, while session two is scheduled for June 6-8. Check-in for both sessions 1 p.m. on the first day and check-out is 8 a.m. on the final morning. Both camps will be at the Clark-Gay Baseball Complex on the campus in Decatur.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Holding Football Showcases for Unsigned High School Seniors and Juniors

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ football program is hosting showcases for unsigned high school seniors and for high school juniors on Friday, May 18, at Bailey Stadium on the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ campus in Decatur.

The showcase for unsigned high school football seniors begins at 12:30 p.m. All current high school seniors who have not signed to play football in college next year are invited. The cost is $10 per participant.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Warriors Take Baseball Doubleheader from Visiting Nunez

The No. 17 ranked ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ baseball team bounced back from a pair of midweek losses with a couple of run-rule wins over the Elaine P. Nunez Community College Pelicans Saturday, April 28, at Clark-Gay Baseball Complex in Decatur.

East Central won the opener 10-2 in seven innings and then won the nightcap 14-4 in five innings.

East Central is now 29-13 on the season. The visitors from Chalmette, La., are 3-26.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Men’s Basketball Hosting Senior High, Junior High Team Camps

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ men’s basketball program is hosting team camps this summer for high school and junior high school boys’ teams.

Both camps are at Brackeen-Wood Gym on the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ campus in Decatur.

The Junior High School Team Camp will be held June 4-5, 2018. The High School Team Camp will be held June 7-8, 2018.

The cost for commuters attending one day of either camp is $150 per team, or $300 per team for both days.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Men’s Basketball Hosting Summer Individual Player Camps

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ men’s basketball program is hosting an Individual Skills Camp and an Overnight Camp in June.

Both camps are at Brackeen-Wood Gym on the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ campus in Decatur.

The Individual Skills Camp for boys ages 8-16 is June 11-13, 2018, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The cost is $65 per player and each camper receives a T-shirt.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Women’s Basketball Hosting High School Team Camp

New ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ head women’s basketball coach LaTaryl Williams will host a High School Team Camp June 27-28, 2018, at Brackeen-Wood Gym on the Decatur campus.

The cost is $175 for one day and $350 for both days. Only 30 spots are available for teams.

Each team is guaranteed three games per day. Games will be 40-minute running clock, except the last two minutes of the game, using high school rules and officials. Concessions will be available and all players will receive a T-shirt.
