ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Announces Cheer Squad for 2022-23 School Year

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ in Decatur has announced the members of its 2022-23 Cheerleading Squad.
The members receive full-tuition scholarships. In addition to cheering at all home and away football games and home basketball contests, the Warrior Cheer Team participates in campus pep rallies, parades with the college’s Wall O’ Sound Marching Band, community service, and other activities and events.

Both the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ baseball and softball teams will be in action this week in postseason play. East Central is one of just six MACCC programs to have both teams competing in postseason play and over the past 12 years, ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ baseball coach Neal Holliman, and ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ softball coach Leigh White, have sent their respective programs to the playoffs a combined 23 times.
Lady Warriors Softball Sweeps Twinbill with Meridian

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Lady Warrior softball team left Meridian on Wednesday afternoon, April 27, with a pair of wins as the Lady Warriors swept the Lady Eagles in a two-game MACCC matchup. With the wins the Lady Warriors moved to 25-19 overall and to 14-12 in MACCC play, while the Lady Eagles fell to 14-27, 4-22.
Maskew and Denley Represent ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Golf in Region Championship

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ's and represented the Warriors at the NJCAA DII Gulf District Championship as individuals this week. The tournament was held at Kirkwood National in Holly Springs.

Tim Anderson’s wife, Bria, accepts the Hall of Fame plaque from ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Director of Athletics Paul Nixon on her husband’s behalf. Tim Anderson was playing a game for the Chicago White Sox and could not attend the ceremony.
