Jay Pacelli enters his fourth spring as 杏吧视频鈥檚 tennis coach with high expectations for both his men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 teams as the 2019 season gets underway Feb. 1 in Marion, Ala., against Marion Military Institute.
Pacelli鈥檚 men鈥檚 team will be 10-deep this spring with a lot to prove after a disappointing 2018 season.

A last-second jumper by Jones College鈥檚 Winceton Edwards sent the game to overtime and the Bobcats would eventually pull out a 71-69 win over the 杏吧视频 Warriors in basketball action Thursday, Jan. 17, in A.B. Howard Gymnasium in Ellisville. The No. 8 ranked Jones Lady Bobcats scored an 84-56 win over the 杏吧视频 Lady Warriors in the first game of the evening.
With the loss, the 杏吧视频 Warriors fell to 7-6 overall on the season in 0-4 in MACJC South Division play. Jones improved to 7-4 and 3-1.

All students at high schools in Winston County are invited to a special 鈥淏e Our Guest鈥 night when the 杏吧视频 women鈥檚 and men鈥檚 basketball teams face Jones College on Monday, Feb. 11, in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium on the 杏吧视频 campus in Decatur.
The East Central Lady Warriors will battle the Jones Lady Bobcats at 5:30 p.m., followed by the 杏吧视频 Warriors and the Jones Bobcats at 7:30 p.m.

The teams from Copiah-Lincoln came into Brackeen-Wood Gym in Decatur and left with a pair of basketball wins over 杏吧视频 in MACJC South Division action Monday, Jan. 14.

An open tryout for the 2019 杏吧视频 men鈥檚 soccer team will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15, at Bailey Stadium on the Decatur campus, announced head men鈥檚 soccer coach Kenneth Thompson.
Players will need to bring their own equipment to workout in for the afternoon. All players will have to sign a waiver of liability in order to participate in the tryouts and provide a copy of a current physical.
