A strong fourth-quarter performance propelled the Lady Warriors of ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ to a victory over the Co-Lin Lady Wolves on sophomore night, 52-45. The win on March 27 moves the Lady Warriors to 4-9 on the year and wrapped up regular season play.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ baseball team has been on a tear through the MACCC with big sweeps over Mississippi Delta and Gulf Coast and a pair of splits with Itawamba and Co-Lin.
The impressive play has launched the Warriors to the No. 1 spot in the MACCC with a 13-3 conference record and caught national attention as the team has moved to No. 16 in the latest NJCAA poll. During the winning streak ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ head coach Neal Holliman also picked up his 400th career win as the Warriors' skipper.

Two former ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Warriors are in action in the NCAA March Madness Tournament. ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ's Jariyah Covington (Starkville) played in Decatur for two seasons from 2018-2020 before inking with the Jackson State Tigers, while Kareem Thompson (Florance, Ala.) played his 2019-20 season with the Warriors before moving on to Oral Roberts in Tulsa, Okla.

Early leads helped push the No. 6 Jones College Lady Bobcats to a pair of wins over ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ on Wednesday, March 10. The losses drop the Lady Warriors to 4-11 on the season and to 3-4 in conference play. Jones College moved to 17-3, 6-2.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Warriors split games with the No. 12 Jones College Bobcats on Wednesday, March 10. After a dominating, 20-3, ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ victory in game one, the Bobcats grabbed a win in the nightcap, 9-3. The games move the Warriors to 10-6 overall on the year and to the top spot in MACCC play with a 7-1 conference record. Jones moves to 13-9, 6-2.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Lady Warrior basketball team fell to the Southwest Lady Bears in Decatur Wednesday, March 10, 70-51. The loss moves ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ to 1-7 on the year in both regular season and conference play. The Lady Warriors are on the road on Saturday, March 13, as they travel to Meridian to face the Lady Eagles at 12 p.m. before returning to Decatur to host Hinds at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 15.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Lady Warriors dropped to 1-6 on the year March 8 as the team fell to the Copiah-Lincoln Community College Lady Wolves, 64-54. The Lady Warriors will be back on the court tomorrow, Wednesday, March 10, as they host the Southwest Lady Bears in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium for a COVID-19 makeup game at 6 p.m.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ men's tennis team went 1-2 over the week of March 1-8 with a loss to Coastal Alabama-South, a win over Holmes, and a loss against nationally-ranked Wallace State. The results move the Warriors to 6-5 on the year.

It was a back-and-forth day for the Lady Warriors of ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ on Saturday, March 6, as they came from behind to defeat Holmes 4-3 in the opener, before falling in game two, 8-3, in a MACCC doubleheader. The split moves ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ to 4-10 on the year and to 3-3 in conference play.
