No. 16 Warriors Earn Baseball Split at Co-Lin

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ baseball team has been on a tear through the MACCC with big sweeps over Mississippi Delta and Gulf Coast and a pair of splits with Itawamba and Co-Lin.

The impressive play has launched the Warriors to the No. 1 spot in the MACCC with a 13-3 conference record and caught national attention as the team has moved to No. 16 in the latest NJCAA poll. During the winning streak ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ head coach Neal Holliman also picked up his 400th career win as the Warriors' skipper. 

Former Warriors Play on Basketball's Biggest Stage

Two former ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Warriors are in action in the NCAA March Madness Tournament. ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ's Jariyah Covington (Starkville) played in Decatur for two seasons from 2018-2020 before inking with the Jackson State Tigers, while Kareem Thompson (Florance, Ala.) played his 2019-20 season with the Warriors before moving on to Oral Roberts in Tulsa, Okla. 

Stellar Hitting Highlights Baseball Split With Jones

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Warriors split games with the No. 12 Jones College Bobcats on Wednesday, March 10. After a dominating, 20-3, ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ victory in game one, the Bobcats grabbed a win in the nightcap, 9-3. The games move the Warriors to 10-6 overall on the year and to the top spot in MACCC play with a 7-1 conference record. Jones moves to 13-9, 6-2.

Big 4th Period Gives Southwest Basketball Win Over ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Lady Warriors

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Lady Warrior basketball team fell to the Southwest Lady Bears in Decatur Wednesday, March 10, 70-51. The loss moves ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ to 1-7 on the year in both regular season and conference play. The Lady Warriors are on the road on Saturday, March 13, as they travel to Meridian to face the Lady Eagles at 12 p.m. before returning to Decatur to host Hinds at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 15.
