It was a tale of two halves for the No. 20 ranked East Central football Warriors Thursday night in an MACJC South Division matchup at Pearl River.

For the first time since 2015, the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ football team is ranked in the National Junior College Athletic Association Top 20 Football Poll.
The Warriors came in at No. 20 in the latest poll released today.
It is the first time East Central has been ranked since the final poll of the 2015 season when the Warriors finished No. 10.

If the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Warriors are to improve on last season’s record, they will have to do so against the toughest football schedule in the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ football program is hosting its 2018 Elite Warrior Football Camp on Wednesday, June 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bailey Stadium on the campus in Decatur.
The non-contact camp is for high school players entering grades 8 through 12 in fall 2018. The cost is $50 per person and includes lunch and a camp T-shirt.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ football program is hosting showcases for unsigned high school seniors and for high school juniors on Friday, May 18, at Bailey Stadium on the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ campus in Decatur.
The showcase for unsigned high school football seniors begins at 12:30 p.m. All current high school seniors who have not signed to play football in college next year are invited. The cost is $10 per participant.

For the second straight season, the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ football team will have to play five road games, including the first two games of the season, as the Warriors 2018 football schedule was announced.
Also for the second straight fall, all East Central games will be played on a Thursday night.
