Former East Central women's basketball guard Alexia McDonald, a product of Petal High School signed with Dillard University in New Orleans, LA to continue her academic and basketball career. McDonald averaged team-highs of 16.2 points and 2.7 steals per game. She also had 7.8 rebounds per game for the 2015-16 season.

Seven �Ӱ���Ƶ varsity sports teams earned National Junior College Athletic Association Academic Team of the Year honorable mention awards for having met the grade-point average requirement of 3.00 or better for the 2015-16 season.
 
The �Ӱ���Ƶ Diamond Warrior baseball team finished with a 3.43 GPA and ranked sixth overall.
 
The women’s basketball team also earned an honorable mention award, finishing with a 3.0 GPA.
 

​Four �Ӱ���Ƶ Lady Warriors and one Warrior were named to the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges All-State basketball teams announced Monday, March 7, 2016.
 
Sophomore guard/forward Prince McDaniel out of Pascagoula High School was named to the MACJC Men’s All-State South Division Second Team.
 
McDaniel averaged a team-high of 14.9 points per game. He also averaged 4.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.2 steals per game.

The �Ӱ���Ƶ Lady Warrior basketball team won its first Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges State Championship in a dozen years Thursday night, Feb. 25, with a 75-63 win over the Itawamba Community College Lady Indians at the Davis Event Center on the Itawamba campus in Fulton.
