Despite a career-high performance from Laneisha Jeans, the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Lady Warriors fell 94-73 to the No. 16 nationally ranked Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats Monday, Feb. 20, in Ellisville.

Jeans of Pine Forest (Fla.) High School led all scorers with a career–high of 25 points. Also, in double-digit scoring were Autumn Taylor of Newton High School with 17 points, six assists and four steals, and Curtisha Coleman of Wayne County High School with 15 points.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ women’s basketball team defeated the Pearl River Community College Lady Wildcats 78-69 Thursday, Feb. 16, in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium on the Decatur campus.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Lady Warriors dropped an 87-71 basketball game to Copiah–Lincoln Community College in MACJC South Division action Monday, Feb. 13, in Wesson.

The first half featured a back and forth battle with the lead changing several times. ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ was able to pull ahead 19-18 after one quarter, but Coach Crandal Porter’s squad trailed Co-Lin 41-34 at the half.

After the intermission the game was all Co-Lin.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ women’s basketball team picked up an important 77-61 MACJC South Division win against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in a game played in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium in Decatur Thursday, Feb. 9.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ women’s basketball team fought off a Meridian Community College second half surge to beat MCC 78-74 Monday, Feb. 6, in Meridian.

The Lady Warriors led by double-digits most of the contest, and by as many as 16 in the first half, but the Lady Eagles battled back to trail by just one with 55 seconds left in the game.

Four ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ women’s basketball players finished in double figures Monday, Jan. 23, as the Lady Warriors beat Pearl River Community College in Poplarville. The Lady Warriors picked up their third MACJC South Division win with a 72-67 victory over the Lady Wildcats.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Lady Warrior basketball team pulled out another MACJC South Division win this time against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Tuesday, Jan. 17, in Perkinston.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ trailed by two at the half, but with a strong second half performance the Lady Warriors defeated MGCCC 77-68.
