The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ men’s and women’s basketball teams went on the road after a week off due to the winter weather and dropped a pair of MACJC South Division games at Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson Thursday, Jan. 18.
The Co-Lin Lady Wolves won the women’s game 86-67, while the Wolves followed with a 97-74 win over the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Warriors.

Freshman guard Roti Ware continued his hot play of late dropping in 31 points to lead the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Warriors to their seventh straight win 89-77 over the Meridian Community College Eagles in a game played on the MCC campus Thursday, Jan. 11.
The East Central women lost for the second straight game after starting the season 8-0. The Meridian Lady Eagles took a 66-56 Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges South Division win in the opening game of the night.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ basketball teams entertained rival East Mississippi Tuesday, Jan. 9, and split a pair of non-division games played in Brackeen-Wood Gym on the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ campus in Decatur.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ basketball programs are hosting the MLK Tournament Jan. 13 and Jan. 15 to commemorate the Martin Luther King Holiday.
The MLK Tournament for boys will be played Saturday, Jan. 13, in Brackeen-Wood Gym on the Decatur campus.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ basketball teams closed out 2017 with a sweep of teams from Coastal Alabama Community College Monday, Dec. 11, in Brackeen-Wood Gym in Decatur.
The Lady Warriors defeated Coastal Alabama-North 68-54 in the opening game.

The Southwest Mississippi Community College men’s and women’s basketball teams came to Decatur Monday, Dec. 4, and both left with their first losses of the season as the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Warriors and Lady Warriors combined for the sweep in Brackeen-Wood Gym.
In the opening game, the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Lady Warriors knocked off the Southwest Lady Bears 70-61 behind 21 points and eight rebounds from freshman Diamond Wraggs of Louisville. The win kept East Central undefeated on the season at 7-0, while Southwest fell to 6-1.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ freshman basketball players Roti Ware and Diamond Wraggs have been named the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges’ Men’s and Women’s Basketball Players of the Week, respectively, for their play the week of Nov. 20-26, 2017.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ basketball teams went undefeated in the annual EC Classic held Nov. 20-21 in Brackeen-Wood Gym on the campus in Decatur.
The Lady Warriors remained undefeated at 6-0 on the season with an 87-53 win over Southern University-Shreveport on Nov. 20 and followed that with an 84-53 win over Lawson State Community College out of Birmingham, Ala., the following day.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Lady Warriors outscored the home-standing Coahoma Community College Lady Tigers by nine points in the third quarter to overcome a halftime deficit and pull out a 70-67 win Monday, Nov. 13, in Clarksdale.
The rally allowed the Lady Warriors to remain undefeated on the season at 4-0. Coahoma fell to 2-5. East Central also defeated Coahoma on Nov. 2 at home 79-69.

Riding a strong third period by sophomore guard Autumn Taylor, the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Lady Warriors remained undefeated with an 85-76 road win over the East Mississippi Community College Lady Lions Thursday, Nov. 9, in Scooba.
In the men’s action that followed, East Central could not hold on to a four-point halftime lead and fell 65-58 to the EMCC Lions.
