The 2018-19 ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ men’s and women’s basketball teams will be introduced along with an evening of fun and entertainment at the first Wings and Warriors scheduled for Monday, Nov. 5, at 6:30 p.m. in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium on the campus in Decatur.
The East Central Warrior cheerleaders, and Wall O’ Sound Pep Band, Color Guard, and Centralettes will all participate.

Former Mississippi College standout Kristen Sampson is the new volunteer assistant women’s basketball coach at ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ after most recently serving as a graduate assistant at her alma mater.
ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Head Women’s Coach LaTaryl Williams announced Sampson’s hiring as he begins preparations for his first season leading the Lady Warriors.

New ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ head women’s basketball coach LaTaryl Williams will host a High School Team Camp June 27-28, 2018, at Brackeen-Wood Gym on the Decatur campus.
The cost is $175 for one day and $350 for both days. Only 30 spots are available for teams.
Each team is guaranteed three games per day. Games will be 40-minute running clock, except the last two minutes of the game, using high school rules and officials. Concessions will be available and all players will receive a T-shirt.

New ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ women’s basketball coach LaTaryl Williams will hold a tryout from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, in Brackeen-Wood Gym on the campus in Decatur.
The tryout is open to players who will graduate from high school in 2018, or have already graduated but have not already played two years of college sports. Anyone who is not a 2018 high school graduate will need to bring a copy of a recent physical in order to participate.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ will again serve as host site for the annual Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges All-Star Basketball contests.
The doubleheader will be held Friday, April 13, in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium on the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ campus in Decatur. The North Division women and South Division women will face off at 5 p.m. and the North and South men’s game will follow at 7 p.m.
Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students.

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ basketball teams concluded their 2017-18 seasons Thursday, Feb. 22, in action at Hinds Community College in Utica. The Lady Warriors fell 71-53 in the opening game to the Hinds Lady Bulldogs, while the Warriors dropped an 87-79 decision to the Bulldogs in the nightcap.
