Visiting LSU-Eunice got two goals in each half to defeat the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Lady Warriors 4-1 in the first-ever meeting between the two programs Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the Soccer Field in Decatur.
The Lady Bengals from Eunice, La., are in their first season playing NJCAA Region 23 soccer.
East Central’s lone goal came off the foot of freshman forward Macey Spencer of Florence unassisted early in the second half.
The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Lady Warriors are now 3-7 overall on the season, while LSU-Eunice improved to 5-0-1.
The Lady Warriors will host Gulf Coast on Friday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m. before traveling to Fulton to face Itawamba at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3. East Central will host Northwest on Friday, Oct. 5, at 1 p.m. in Decatur.
