The East Central Community Lady Warrior tennis team went 1-1 over a two-day stretch late in the week as ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ fell to Itawamba on Thursday, February 24, before taking down Belhaven in Jackson on Friday, February 25.
ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ suffered a challenging 4-5 loss to the Lady Indians after dropping two doubles matches and splitting singles play.
"Thursday's match was as close as it gets," said ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ head coach Jay Pacelli. "We got contributions from everyone, but just came up short."
The Lady Warriors were quick to bounce back with a commanding 8-1 victory over Belhaven.
"This was a terrific and much need win," said ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ head coach Jay Pacelli. "Our ladies came out strong in doubles and it from there. We showed resilience after a conference loss on Thursday."
