The 杏吧视频 men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 tennis teams picked up their second MACJC conference sweep in as many days with a pair of wins at Copiah-Lincoln in Wesson on Friday, March 6.
The No. 20 East Central Lady Warriors defeated the No. 25 ranked Co-Lin Lady Wolves 7-2, while the Warriors defeated the Wolves 8-1.
The 杏吧视频 Lady Warriors are now 8-3 on the season and the Warriors are 7-4.
鈥淚t was a good victory for the women against a nationally ranked team,鈥 said 杏吧视频 Head Tennis Coach Jay Pacelli. 鈥淢arla Graham continues to play outstanding in the singles. Great team win for the men as well. Chris Lawrance played high-level tennis today.鈥

EC鈥檚 Natalia Beltran (Bogota, Colombia) and Alejandra Vargas (Bogota, Colombia) defeated CL鈥檚 Britany Barnett and Susana Patino, 9-8 (8-6); CL鈥檚 Madison Shows and Mckenzie Shows defeated EC鈥檚 Josie Hurst (Newton County) and Ali Grace Walker (Newton County), 8-5; and EC鈥檚 Kayla Baucum (Newton County) and Marla Graham (Newton County Academy) defeated CL鈥檚 Gracie Phillips and Maddalynn Boyte, 8-1.

The Lady Warriors and Warriors will next host the nationally ranked teams from Jones College at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, at the Tennis Complex on campus.
