Both the 杏吧视频 men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 tennis teams are ranked in the final Oracle/ITA National Junior College Athletic Association Top 25 poll of the spring season.
The 杏吧视频 men are ranked No. 19 in the nation after competing in the NJCAA Division I Men鈥檚 Tennis Championship earlier this month, while the 杏吧视频 Lady Warriors are ranked No. 24.
East Central is one of only two community colleges in Mississippi to have both the men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 teams ranked in the final Top 25. The Warriors were the third highest ranked team from the state, while the Lady Warriors were the fourth highest ranked women鈥檚 team in Mississippi.
According to head coach Jay Pacelli, it is the first time in recent memory that either program ended the spring season with a Top 25 ranking.
鈥淚鈥檓 very proud of the efforts of both our tennis teams,鈥 said Pacelli. 鈥淎ll of our men and women had a part in elevating the tennis program to one recognized nationally. Congratulations to them on a terrific year!鈥
