The 杏吧视频 men鈥檚 basketball team could not hold on to a steady lead in the fourth quarter and fell 75-64 against Northeast Mississippi Community College Thursday, Dec. 8, in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium in Decatur.
The game was high-intensity throughout the evening with the Warriors leading by eight at the intermission, before the Tigers pulled away for the win in the final minutes of the contest.
The Warriors had three players in double-digit scoring. Cayman 鈥淐.J.鈥 Ruffin of Neshoba Central led 杏吧视频 scorers with 14 points. Tonzell Handy of Lanier High School added 12 points and Cameron Diggs of Blount (Ala.) High School had 11 points.
杏吧视频 dropped to 4-4 on the season.
East Central will travel to Shelton State Community College Monday, Dec. 12, to face the Buccaneers in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. Both the men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 teams resume play January 10 at East Mississippi Community College in Scooba.
