�Ӱ���Ƶ (�Ӱ���Ƶ) is proud to announce the success of its first-ever capital campaign, Deeply Rooted, Future Focused, surpassing its ambitious $4.15 million goal. Launched in January 2023 under the leadership of President Dr. Brent Gregory and Executive Director of the Foundation Dr. Stacey Hollingsworth, the campaign marks a historic achievement for the college as it prepares for its 100-year anniversary in 2028. 

 

The campaign has focused on funding critical renovations to Founders Gymnasium, the Ovid S. Vickers Fine Arts Center, Newton Hall, and the Bradford J. Tucker Applied Technology Center. These upgrades are integral to ensuring that �Ӱ���Ƶ remains a sustainable and innovative institution serving its students, faculty, staff, and the communities of its five-county district by maintaining industry standard facilities and areas for community involvement on campus. 

 

“We are fortunate to receive public funding from various sources,” said Dr. Gregory. “However, private support has been essential in achieving our goals. This campaign has united alumni, friends, faculty and staff, and corporate partners to help us remain deeply rooted in the tradition that is �Ӱ���Ƶ, while preparing for a future of opportunity and growth.” 

 

In just nine months, the campaign raised over $3.5 million, with the milestone celebrated during a public announcement ceremony in Newton Hall on the Decatur campus.  

 

“While we celebrate this extraordinary financial achievement, it’s about more than just raising money,” stated Dr. Hollingsworth. “Deeply Rooted, Future Focused has sparked enthusiasm, deepened connections with alumni, and shared our vision for the future.”  

 

Dr. Gregory expressed his gratitude to all who contributed, saying, “This campaign demonstrates the unbelievable dedication of our alumni, current and former faculty and staff, community partners, and all other supporters who believe in the mission of �Ӱ���Ƶ. Together, we are building a brighter future for our students.”
